Translation into English of my from 2007 B.Sc. thesis on capture and animation of human like figures

I did this Finnish -> English translation of my B.Sc. thesis from 2007 in 2016-2017. Get it here. Sorry for the low res still graphics and receiver strain on this information on digital look-alikes. Just read the abstract and the conclusions if not interested in the technical stuff. Pictures are understandable. Digital look-alikes are disinformation weapons in wrong hands. Disinformation weapons technology thesis? Yeah, probably that.

ByJuho.fi now hosted with renewable electricity

Hosted with renewables at shellit.org in Björneborg!

Also the hosting people TransIP B.V. in Netherlands (Consumium.org Free Social Media are hosted there) run on renewables so effectively all production servers are now running on renewable electricity. I gonna ask the Esbo and the Lithuania hosting people to join in.

The hosting company uses only renewable electricity in its services
This site is proudly hosted with renewable electricity

Slight downtime over

Now this site and blog is running on renewable electricity only and downtime was neglible and occurred today. Site is again accessible via TLS encryption courtesy of https://LetsEncrypt.org

Due to DNS and other database propagation delays https://thegreenwebfoundation.org does not yet list this as a ‘green’ site but that’ll change shortly when their database is updated

Translation: Tao Te King – Chapter 11. Usefulness of emptiness

Chapter 11. Usefulness of emptiness

The thirty spokes of the wheel that are joined in the center are made useful by the hollow in the middle where emptiness reigns.

Vessels made of clay are useful because of their hollowness.

Doors and windows are of use to the building because they are taken away from the wall.

Being is meritorious, but non-being is useful.

Like the stream of the valley never dries, so the basic essence of the existing never dries.

I call it the Mother-depth.

The movement of the Mother-depth I call the parturient of the heaven and the earth.

Forever it stays, and moves without destination¹.

Translation: Tao Te King – Chapter 4. Innocent

Chapter 4. Innocent

The Tao is boundless; its depth is the origin of all being.

It makes edgy objects smooth; it yields order from disorder; it dims brightness, it is wholly silent and clean.

I don’t know who gave birth to it. It is older than God.

Chapter 74. The mistake of governance

When the people don’t fear death, what use is punishment to scare them?

And if they were always kept in the fear of death and I would take to all evil-doers and kill them, would I dare to do it?

The great Executioner is always waiting.

If someone steals his job, he is like a beginner that steps into the building site of the master builder.

Such people rarely do not chop off their own hands.

Translation: Tao Te King – Chapter 73. Freedom of action

Chapter 73. Freedom of action

Whose bravery manifests itself in defiance, he will be in the hands of death.

Whose bravery shows itself in self control, he stays.

Thus there are two kinds of bravery, one is unlucky and the other is beneficial.

But who can say why one of them receives the damnation of the heaven?

This is why the wise one notices action to be difficult.

The heavenly Tao does not compete, yet it wins everything; it does not speak and yet it is skilled in answering, it does not call and yet things come easily to it.

Silence is golden but you cannot buy it with gold nor platinum. PD by artist and uploader Anynobody

It is quiet in its course of action and its actions are fully effective.

The net of the heaven has large meshes and yet nothing slips through them.

Knowing your own ignorance is the best knowledge.

Lack of such knowledge is disease.

If someone just considers it a disease, he is freed of it.

Wise one is free of this disease.

He knows what it is and is free of it.
